What to expect
Whether you've never touched a guitar before, tried to teach yourself and got stuck, or already play but want to push your playing further — lessons with Daniel are structured entirely around you and your goals.
Maybe you've spent hours watching YouTube videos and working through chord books but can't quite get it to come together. Maybe you had group lessons at school that never really clicked. Maybe you already play but feel like you're going round in circles. Whatever your starting point, the right tutor can save you years of frustration and get you making real progress faster than you'd ever manage alone.
Lessons cover everything from the fundamentals through to advanced playing, including:
-
Chords and rhythm
-
Scales and technique
-
Music theory
-
Ear training
-
Songwriting
-
Repertoire development — learning the songs you actually want to play
Every lesson includes personalised notes and backing tracks, with constant progress reviews to keep momentum and motivation high.
Graded Exams
Lessons can incorporate the LCM and Rockschool graded exam syllabus if required. Daniel can enter students for examinations, and UCAS points are awarded for grades 6 and above — a useful pathway for students considering university applications. Even without taking exams, the LCM and Rockschool handbooks provide an excellent structured framework for learning.
Guitars
Guitars are available to use during lessons if needed — useful if you're coming straight from work or haven't yet purchased your own instrument. Owning your own guitar is recommended however to ensure steady progress between sessions.
Children aged 12 to 13
Younger students are recommended to have 30 minute lessons. Please get in touch for details.
